Our Story
What We Believe
Bua Terra was built by Declan Molloy on a simple idea: that the people who feed the world deserve better tools.
Not tools designed for the regulator's checklist, or the investor's pitch deck, or the trade show floor. Tools designed for the farmer in the yard at seven in the morning, working in the dark, in the rain, with one hand on the gate. Practical tools. Tools that actually get used.
That belief shapes everything we build. It is the reason we started with farm safety and the reason we will not stop there. And it is the reason we chose the name we did.
Bua is the Irish word for success. Terra is Latin for land. Together they say what we are here to do: help farmers succeed through the land they work.

Our Values
Success through the land.
Every farmer we work with is building something that outlasts them. A livelihood, a landscape, a legacy. Our job is to protect that: the land, the business, and the people on it. We measure our success by theirs, not by our own metrics.
Built for the farmer, not the system.
Our tools are designed for the person who will actually use them. Not the compliance officer, not the advisor, not the co-op. If a farmer in the west of Ireland can't pick it up and use it in five minutes, without a manual, without a course, without a call to support, it is not ready. We are not interested in building impressive tools. We are interested in building useful ones.
Safety is the foundation of every viable farm.
We started with farm safety because nothing else matters if someone gets hurt. Not the harvest. Not the herd. Not the business. A farm that is not safe is not sustainable. A farming family that has lost someone cannot be made whole by any technology we will ever build. Farm safety is not a product category for us. It is the lens through which we look at every problem, and the reason we take the work seriously.
Honest with data.
Farmers generate enormous amounts of information about their land, their operations, and their animals. We use that data to give them better decisions. Not to sell it, not to share it with third parties, not to report them to anyone. Their data works for them. That is not a privacy policy. It is a principle.
Built for Ireland. Designed for the world.
We are rooted in Irish farming culture: in the landscape, the language, and the particular way that farming families here think about their land. That rootedness is not a limitation. It is a foundation. The problems facing Irish farmers are shared by farmers everywhere. We build for Ireland first because we know it best. We build for the world because the work does not stop at the border.
Where We Are Going
Bua Terra will always be a practical agtech company. We will always build tools that the majority of farmers can actually use. Not just the early adopters. And we will always start with safety, because that is where the need is greatest and the gap is widest.
But our ambition is larger than any single product. We are building toward a future where every farmer has access to the kind of practical digital intelligence that used to be available only to large agricultural businesses: tools that help them stay safe, make better decisions, and build something that lasts.
That is what success through the land looks like to us.
